Virtual Reality
New York City is one of the most fascinating places in the world and at BWL, we love taking our students out into the city to experience everything it has to offer. But what about field trips to places not in our city? What about field trips to places no human has gone before?
In the Fall of 2024, BWL will be bringing ClassVR headsets into Lower School classrooms for unique experiences that bring learning to life!
From virtual field trips to interacting with 3D models of everything from a human heart to the Grand Canyon, virtual reality headsets will take student engagement to higher levels for academic success and personal growth.
Evidence shows virtual reality can engage and extend the boundaries of classroom experiences, and help students meet learning objectives:
-
Experience: Learning through experience can boost knowledge retention by up to 75%.
-
Engage: We only remember 10% of what we read, but can retain 90% of what we experience.
-
Achieve: VR can improve student attainment, improving test results by up to 20%.
