Mindfulness, Meditation, and Movement
Helping Students Find Strategies and Tools to Improve Mental Health and Wellness
Mindfulness, meditation, and movement are key to a healthy mind, and students can benefit from learning good habits at an early age, so that they develop a life-long practice and love for these activities.
- Head of School Bill Kuhn leads all students in Kindergarten through 5th Grade in regular mindful meditation sessions. He also offers optional weekly meditation sessions for students in grades 6–12.
- For the 2024–2025 school year, we are revamping our Peer Relations and Health curriculums in grades Kindergarten through 8 to include more direct instruction in mindfulness practices like breathing exercises, meditation, and metacognition to teach students how to understand their own minds better.
- Students in all grades will take part in our Tai Chi, Yoga, and Qi Gong in our new Yoga Studio!
