Let Grow

Building Confidence and Independence!

At BWL, we pride ourselves on developing students who are not only skilled readers, writers, mathematicians, and scientists, but also ones who are confident, capable, and resilient.

By partnering with Let Grow, our Lower School students are given the opportunities to take ownership of their own success. BWL is proud to be an official Let Grow Lighthouse School.

What is Let Grow?

Let Grow champions childhood, helping kids build confidence, resilience, and self-reliance through independent play and real life experiences. Through Let Grow Experiences, students receive a simple, life-changing homework assignment: Go home and do something new, on your own. Climb a tree, run an errand, make a meal—the choices are endless and the impact: immediate.

Simply by experiencing some independence, students find themselves engaged, excited and curious. They analyze situations, evaluate consequences, and discover how resourceful they really are. Everyone sees the change: Educators, parents, the kids themselves. Independence leads to new problem-solving, resilience—and joy.
