The Boys Varsity Soccer team refuses to tie! In a close game, Gavin M. ’29 scored the game-winning goal, securing a 2-1 victory over Rudolph Steiner Wednesday night. Jack C. ’28 scored the other killer goal, and Jack C. ’30 guarded the goal with his life. Thanks to Captain Nathaniel F. ’27 , the team's motivation remained high even as BWL was down a point. Great game, Lions!

For the first time in four years, the Girls Varsity Soccer team secured a tie against FASNY! In one of their toughest games of the season, Vivienne A. ’27 kept morale up by scoring both the first and the tying goal. Olivia S. ’28 played an amazing game at goal, securing five great saves.

The Girls Varsity Volleyball team put up a strong fight against Mary McDowell on Tuesday. They have nearly mastered the new system put in place this year. Kyanni G. ’27 had some amazing dunks over the net, along with several smart trick plays.
The team played their best game of the season against Rudolph Steiner on Thursday, earning a clean sweep with a 3–0 victory! The energy and cohesiveness on the court were unmatched, and every player had an incredible moment that contributed to the win, from powerful serves and hits to impressive blocks. Kaylee K. ’28 had several standout serves and blocks. Kyanni G. ’27 made some great calls at the net, helping keep the team focused and energized. Dalia A. ’30 scored the first point of her high school volleyball career! The team will carry this excitement and momentum into their next game as they continue to work hard and build on this exciting win.

The Varsity Cross Country team had another successful meet on Thursday, with all of the runners improving their times once again. Ben H. ’28 set a new personal record, finishing the race in third place with a time of 19:23. Sue H. ’30 earned a top-10 finish, and Emmett R. ’27 finished in the top 15.
The Middle School Cross Country runners had a strong showing at their race in Brooklyn. Samuel L. ’32 had an impressive finish, placing 12th overall and setting his sights on breaking into the top 10 in an upcoming race. The team continues to show great effort and determination as the season progresses!

The Middle School Volleyball team had a fantastic comeback this week after a week off the court, going 2–0 in their Thursday game against Rudolph Steiner! They communicated well, responded quickly to volleys, and delivered strong serves. Captain Camila S. ’31 continues to demonstrate excellent form on her underhand serves, and Co-Captain Sofia S. ’31 covered the court with impressive speed, always ready to assist when needed. Minka A. ’32 played with incredible confidence and fought for every serve that came to the Lions’ side of the court.

The Middle School Soccer team had a tough game Wednesday against Rudolph Steiner, but each individual player had great moments throughout. Not only did Andrew R. ’31 score his second goal of the season in two games, but he also led his team through the loss. Despite this loss, the team is fired up, especially defensively, for their next match.
