The Senior Project

Developing Skills Beyond BWL

The Senior Project is a six-week program that gives BWL seniors access to real-world experience in areas of their interest during the spring before graduation.

This program is tailor made for our students, who are able to find appropriate and fulfilling positions, drawing upon the shared resources of the extended BWL community, including alumni and parents.

Projects consist of a minimum of 20 hours per week, allocated to:
  • Internships (paid or unpaid, depending on the internship)
  • Traditional employment
  • Or service learning in the wider community

Students who are already taking Advanced Placement courses participate in a modified Senior Project, preserving some time for schoolwork. We encourage our seniors to think creatively about their Senior Projects, structuring their weeks with the help of a faculty advisor.

The Senior Project program reflects our commitment to nurturing the whole student, by fostering the development of business and social skills that our graduates will need beyond the walls of BWL.

(My internship) has provided me with a highly enjoyable experience and a platform for personal and professional growth. The collaborative team environment has been instrumental in my development, as I have had the chance to learn from talented individuals who are experts in their respective fields.

Overall, my internship...has been truly enriching. I have acquired valuable skills in communication, research, digital marketing, website management, analytics, and collaboration.David K. '23
