Coffee, Conversation, and a Welcome for Colm MacMahon!

BWL parents/guardians gathered in the Commons Friday morning for our first Coffee in the Commons of the school year, with this month’s gathering offering a special opportunity to meet our new Interim Director of Upper School, Colm MacMahon.

Over coffee and a light breakfast, families had a chance to introduce themselves to Colm, hear a little about his background and his first days at BWL, and talk with him informally about the Upper School and the year ahead. Parents/guardians also caught up with one another and connected with administrators in the relaxed setting that has become a hallmark of these Friday morning gatherings.

Coffee in the Commons is an informal, come-and-go event open to all BWL parents/guardians. Held throughout the school year, the series creates regular opportunities for families to stop by after morning drop-off, grab a cup of coffee, spend time with other parents, and get to know members of the BWL administration.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our first gathering of the year and helped give Colm such a warm BWL welcome!

Our next Coffee in the Commons will take place Friday, October 2, from 8:00–8:30 a.m. in the Auditorium, immediately before the first Parents Association meeting of the year. All parents/guardians are invited to join us for coffee and stay for the meeting.
