BWL Parents Association Kicks Off New Year

Cocktails, conversation, familiar faces, and plenty of new introductions marked the start of a busy year for the Parents Association. The Back-to-School Cocktail Party and first PA meeting brought BWL families together to reconnect, welcome new members of the community, and kick off a year with community-building at the heart of the PA’s plans.
On Tuesday, September 29, the PA Back-to-School Cocktail Party brought parents/guardians, faculty, staff, and administrators together to raise a glass to the new school year. It was a fun evening for returning families to catch up after the summer, new families to continue getting to know the community, and everyone to spend time together outside the usual school-day routine. PA leaders mingled throughout the evening, greeting families, making introductions, reconnecting with old friends, and welcoming new ones.
On Friday morning, the PA shifted from celebrating the start of the year to planning for everything ahead. Following our second Coffee in the Commons, parents/guardians gathered for the first Parents Association meeting of the year, where PA leaders introduced themselves, previewed upcoming events and initiatives, and shared some of the many ways families can get involved throughout the year.
Leading the Parents Association this year are:
President Veronica Vargas Lupo P'33, P'37
Executive Vice President, Upper School Nicole Azzopardi P'23, P'27
Executive Vice President, Middle School Thomas Mullen P'31
Executive Vice President, Lower School Natasha Rossell Jaffe P'33, P'38
Executive Vice President, Multicultural Affairs Chrystan Bell-Leath P'37
Executive Vice President, Treasurer Alixandra Kupferschmidt P'29
Throughout the year, the PA will create plenty of opportunities for families to spend time together, get involved, and contribute to school life. Each gathering, meeting, and event is another chance to strengthen connections among families and continue building community across BWL.
We hope you'll get involved. Visit the Parents Association web page for more information about the PA, upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, and ways to participate.
