When the BWL admissions department receives your 3 initial
application forms, we will call you
to schedule a tour and an interview. Please refer to the guide below and reference the grade to
which you are applying.
Tours:
Grades K-5 – A 45
minute small-group tour for parents only
led by a faculty member. The student interview
will be scheduled at a separate appointment.
Grades 6-12 – A
45 minute small-group tour for parents
and students together led by a faculty member. The student interview will directly precede or follow the tour.
Please note: Due to the great demand for tour
appointments, tours are for applicants only.
Interviews:
Kindergarten –
Applicants for Kindergarten are interviewed for 30 minutes in groups of approximately 8 children and are
supervised by the admissions directors as well as 2 other members of the
admissions department. During the
Kindergarten assessment, parents attend a question and answer session with the
Headmaster and the Director of the Lower School.
Grade 1 – Applicants
for Grade 1 are interviewed for 45 minutes in groups ranging from 2 to 4 children and are supervised by the
admissions directors and another member
of the admissions department. This
appointment is for the applicant only
and any parent or care-giver can accompany the child to this session.
Grades 2-5 –
Applicants for Grades 2-5 are interviewed for 45 minutes in a one-on-one session with a lower school
learning specialist as well as the admissions directors. This appointment is for the applicant only and any parent or
care-giver can accompany the child to this session.
Grade 6-12 –
Applicants are interviewed for 45 minutes directly before or after their school
tour in a one-on-one session with one
of the admissions directors.

IS NO PARENT INTERVIEW AS PART OF OUR APPLICATION PROCESS.
