Varsity Baseball Season Opens with Defeat of Rival Browning

The BWL Lions beat Browning in their first outing with a score of 13 to 4, in the opening game of what looks to be a promising spring. The win was immediately followed by a victory over Columbia Prep during the same week. Pierce Wright ’13, who came to BWL from St. David’s (pictured at left), David Mosler ’13, and pitcher Daniel Weiss ’15, demonstrated grit and talent. As Athletics Director Todd DiVittorio said, “The team is off to a tremendous start this spring. We have a young and talented team with the potential to have an outstanding season. The team’s success will depend a lot on how hard they continue to work, both at practice and during the games.” Headmaster Frank J. Carnabuci III commented: “We are always happy to see our scholar athletes thrive. They are exceptional role models for all of our students.”
