Dear Parents,
Spring is here which means summer is right around the corner! We are so excited to begin another season of “Summer in the City!” We are hard at work planning unique and interesting trips so that each experience of “Summer in the City” will be different than the year before.
The children will be broken into groups based upon their grade level. Children entering Kindergarten through children entering Second Grade will be in one camp run by Connie Schaefer, First Grade Teacher. Children entering Third Grade through children entering Sixth Grade will be in the other camp run by Amy Meyers, Learning Specialist. The camp is structured in a way that creates a more age appropriate schedule for the children.
This camp is only for students in the BWL family. Your child(ren) will get the opportunity to explore New York City with their teachers while bonding with their classmates. We realize that we are in a challenging economic time, which is why we feel that this camp provides a perfect summer experience for your child. The cost for camp is $550.00 per week.
Here is some important information about “Summer in the City”:
- The camp will run from June 11th – June 22nd
- Camp hours are 8:30am –3:00pm (sharp)
- We are a NUT-AWARE camp
- All children will receive a complimentary camp T-shirt that they are required to wear every day. Additional shirts will be available for purchase on the first day of camp. They will also be given a BWL camp lunch bag.
- Your child should bring a nut-free lunch to camp everyday with at least one drink (no glass bottles).
- Children are required to wear sneakers.

Please fill out the necessary information and return the form to the appropriate Camp Director (Connie Schaefer, Room 45 or Amy Meyers, Room 503). Children will not be registered in camp until payment is received in full. Please note that camp forms can also be found on the BWL website.
Please note, camp is offered to all BWL students Grades K-5 and siblings of BWL students. (Including those entering Kindergarten in 2012). Please be aware that there is a $150 cancellation fee.
